The Project

In early 2009, Context teamed up with the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) on a large scale website redevelopment project. Not only did the site receive an all new web design provided by The Grillo Group, but a full featured content management sytem was integrated to allow the ASMP to manage their ever growing web resource for media photographers all across the country.

Connecting Old With New

With over 7,000 members across the U.S., the ASMP site is not only a repository for information, it also serves as a web portal that the members can use to manage their profile information and member benefits. Context worked to seamlessly integrate the ASMP's existing member database and web infrastructure into the new site, ensuring that all of their existing functionality - from new member signups to event registration, stayed intact after the migration.

Extending the reach

In addition to providing the ASMP's main hub on the web, the new site also offers ASMP chapters all over the country the ability to build their own subsites, customizing the layout, menus, and options as needed. Individual chapters have the freedom to build on the existing templates, creating a creative and scalable environment
